Welcome
In October 2007 the then Culture Secretary James Purnell announced an award to the UK Film Council of £25 million to safeguard the future of the UK’s national and regional film archives and collections.
As part of this work the nine Regional Screen Agencies are launching The Survey of Moving Image Collections held in the Regions. Its purpose is to create a consistent England-wide map that will provide up to date information enabling us to plan for future delivery.
The results of this survey will be used to underpin the plans of Regional Screen Agencies through which they hope to access funding from the Strategy for UK Screen Heritage.
TAKE PART IN THE SURVEY
The Strategy for UK Screen Heritage seeks to respond to the burgeoning interest in films that bring to life the last century in the UK by increasing access to our national and regional moving image heritage, and by supporting the organisations that create this access.
